When a new thermal initial condition is required to be defined, this action is effectuated from the contextual menu. If the user clicks on the add button, a new chart will be displayed:
From this table, it will be available to establish the required initial condition but also selecting the structural element in order to apply this one. The condition will consist in applying an initial temperature, which is going to be established as the starting temperature, on a structural element.
The thermal initial condition will be determinant in coupled analysis due to this correspond to the the initial reference temperature. That is, this condition will be attached to the initial load case, being the starting hypothesis, assuming that the temperature for the structural element, correspond to that specific value. In case of not assigning an initial condition, the reference temperature will correspond to 0 Kelvin.
That is, in case of not assigning an initial condition of temperature, the I.C temperature will be 0 Kelvin:
ΔT = S.E. temperature - I.C. temperature = S.E. temperature
