Defines the load family

SOLUTION: BRIDGE AND CIVIL NON LINEARITIES: Bridge model loads

Family

Number assigned to the family. If this field is zero or blank, the system assigns the first number that is not used. The number assigned to the families must be higher than the one specified in the START_FAM parameter of the ~BLSTF command.

Type

Combination type to be applied to this family to reduce it into a single load step. Any CivilFEM combination type can be used.

Coeft1

Favorable coefficient to be applied to the loads that constitute the family.

Coeft2

Unfavorable coefficient to be applied to the loads that constitute the family.

NLdComb

Maximum number of loads that can take part of an internal combination (by default the total number is taken).

KTitle

Title

0

Takes the title of the last order /TITLE.

1

Does not take title.

Notes

- The available combination types to be applied to the families are the followings:

- The most general case is the last “Selection with variable coefficients”; all the others are particular cases.

- The following are frequent loading cases:

1.    Single heavy vehicle in a lane. Coefficients 1, 0 and NADD = 1. This is an INCOMPATIBLE or EXCLUSIVE type.

2.    Several heavy vehicles in the same lane is a SELECTION type: Coefficients 1, 0 and NADD = Number of possible vehicles in the same lane.

3.    Surface loads. Can be loaded onto the entire surface or only a section. Coefficients 1, 0 and NADD = Number of possible positions of the elementary surface loads, all the family states, is a COMPATIBLE type.

4.    Wind: Coefficients 1, -1 and NADD = all of the anticipated states, is an OPTIONAL type

5.    Earthquake: Coefficients 1, -1 and NADD = all of the anticipated states, is an OPTIONAL type

6.    Prestressed loads: Coefficients 1, -1 and NADD = all them predicted, is an ADDITION type

- Before finishing the load creation, it is necessary to define the support conditions so that they will be included in the corresponding load state files.
