Stress and Strain Section Plot Results
This tool allows displaying stresses and elastic strains in an element’s section.
Data are distributed in the window as shown in the figure:

Each of the allowable options in this window is described hereafter.
Bar Menu
Section Menu

Solid Section – Selects a solid section to represent its stresses or elastic strains.
Element Number – Selects a beam or shell section to represent its stresses or elastic strains.
 Quit – Closes the window.
Select Menu
The section’s elements be represented are chosen with this menu (tessellum, points, reinforcements or plates).

Tessella, Points, Reinforcements, Plates – Type of representation.
By Material type – Selects for the representation, elements with specified material:
- Generic – All .
- Structural Steel
- Concrete
- Reinforcing Steel
By Material number – Represents those elements whose material number is the same as the one entered by the user.

Type of representation: stresses or elastic strains.

Stress – Sx : Represents stress in the X direction of the section.
Stress – Sy : Represents stress in the Y direction of the section.
Stress – Sz : Represents stress in the Z direction of the section.
Stress – Sxy : Represents XY tangential stress of the section.
Stress – Sxz : Represents XZ tangential stress of the section.
Stress – Syz : Represents YZ tangential stress of the section.
Strain – Epx : Represents elastic strain in the X direction of the section.
Strain – Epy : Represents elastic strain in the Y direction of the section.
Strain – Epz : Represents elastic strain in the Z direction of the section.
