~BRADDEL

~BRADDEL, MP1, MP2, ii, if

Defines the bridge layout in elevation view

PREP7: BRIDGE AND CIVIL NON LINEARITIES: Bridge model generation

MP1, MP2

MP’s that delimit the stretch. MP1 must be previously defined (with the ~BRINIP command), the MP2’s space position is created with this command. If MP1 is omitted, the program takes the MP2 of the last defined stretch.

ii, if

Slopes in percentages of the initial and final MP of the stretch. A positive value means an ascent and a negative value means a descent.

Notes

- The MP line in elevation view may be defined as a sequence of straight or parabolic stretches.

- Two commands are used to define the road axis in the space:

-          Plan view definition

~BRADDPL, MP1, MP2, Ri, Rf, ang

-          Elevation view definition

~BRADDEL, MP1, MP2, ii, if

- From the first MP (defined with the ~BRINIP command) each stretch situates new points, being supported in the end of the previous stretch.

- The first MP point always corresponds to the point defined using the ~BRINIP command.

- The stretches should be introduced correlatively in the numbering (without leaps neither gaps in the MP’s).

- The definition commands in plan and elevation view do not have necessarily to use the same MP’s, but the final and initial trajectory points should coincide.

- If ii = if the stretch, in elevation view, is a straight line and on the contrary is a parabola.
