Definition of the surface load grid

SOLUTION: BRIDGE AND CIVIL NON LINEARITIES: Bridge model loads

m

Number of dj parameters.

dj

Measurement in the normal direction to the defined path.

Notes

- These commands generate rectangular loads of (si) x (dj – (dj-1)) dimensions; where:

·         si = the length of the stretch between keypoints.

·         dj = a measurement (with sign) along the normal direction to the bridge main axis. The positive sign is taken to the left, in the increasing direction of the mileage points (MP’s).

- This command must be included in the definition loop of surface loads, the beginning of which is carried out with the ~BLSST command and ends with the ~BLSEND command.

- The ~BLSA command can continue in the consecutive lines, in this case, the consecutive lines should have the first argument blank.

Example:

~BLSA, 7, -1.10, -0.25, -0.10, 0.0, 0.5

~BLSA,, 2.1, 1.3

- This command will read all the dj arguments introduced until encountering a blank field.
