Definition of moving loads

SOLUTION: BRIDGE AND CIVIL NON LINEARITIES: Bridge model loads

Id_Fam

Family number to which the mobile loads will be assigned. The assigned family, must be defined previously, as Type=0, otherwise CivilFEM will display a warning message.

Id_FamH

Family number to which the braking loads will be assigned. If this parameter is blank, this family is not created. It is not either created if values for HL and HLMin are zero or not introduced.

Id_Vehicle           

Identification number of the vehicle that is going to move over the bridge.

CompLine

Name of a component that should contain a concatenate line (bridge axis).

AssemFE

Assembly with the nodes and elements over which the loads are going to be applied. All the elements must have the same type. The allowed types are:

-          Solid Model: Surf 154

-          Shell Model: SURF154

-          Beam model: Beam 3, Beam 4, Beam 44, Beam 54

Dist

Displacement of the lines component. It is measured with positive sign towards left, seen according to advance direction of the line (or growing of the MP’s). The displacement is carried out perpendicular to the lines component.

HL

Weight fraction that is transformed into horizontal load (braking or starting). HL ³ 0.

HLMIN

Minimum value for the previous loads (for the whole vehicle). HLMIN ³ 0.

 

STTIME

Start time. For transient analysis. It will be ignored if VELOCITY=0.

 

VELOCITY

Vehicle’s velocity. For transient analysis.

 

Notes

- A positive load over the wheel will be assigned to a load in the positive nodal Z-axis.

- If the bridge has been created with the ~BRGEN command, CivilFEM will default AssemFE to BDECK.

- If the ~BRSKTCH command has been used, CivilFEM will default CompLine to BROUTE_L.

- If VELOCITY is used, the load step time will be modified.
